Hi! I’m Nellie

I started Hypnosis with Nellie because of my commitment to making your wellbeing and health a priority.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to your wellbeing; you are an individual and that means you require your own unique approach. All treatments are designed with your wellbeing and health at its core.

This unique approach allows you to view your present, and future life with greater optimism and positivity.

A hypnotic journey

My interest in hypnosis started when I realised that all the major positive turning points in my life were because of an instinctive but clear decision I made in my mind.

For instance, I’d been a smoker and had been wanted to quit for quite some time. I spent ages trying to cut back, which only worked for a short while.

What I didn’t know then, was that my constant thoughts about wanting to quit, my increasing feeling of discomfort with every cigarette were, in fact, a very basic and crude form of self-hypnosis. You can imagine my surprise when one day I simply decided that was it, my smoking days were over. No cravings, no regrets. It was as if I’d never smoked a day in my life. That was over 10 years ago, and I haven’t smoked since.

That moment still stands out in my mind. Even after all those years, I can still remember it so vividly. Lighting up my first cigarette of the day, then not even halfway through smoking it, I was done. Something in the back of my mind simply went “nah”. I never finished that cigarette.

My hypnotherapy training felt like stepping into a whole new world of possibilities. Everything I had been doing instinctively over the years started to make sense to me. Now, I could finally understand how I’d been making these positive changes in my life. And to my delight, I realised that I could help others do the same.

“When mind, body, and spirit are in harmony, happiness is the natural result.”

Letting go for wellbeing and health

Consciously or unconsciously you’re holding on to many different thoughts, beliefs, or habits. You might not be aware of them, but they have an enormous impact on the way you feel and the way you behave, every single day.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your wellbeing and health is to let go of things that aren’t good for you. Whether it’s a job, a relationship, a habit, a belief, or even a repeating thought.

Letting go of things that are bad for you is, of course, easier said than done. For example, I know I shouldn’t really eat chocolate, because it is unhealthy and makes me fat. But if there is any chocolate near me, I can assure you that I will eat all of it.

There are many reasons why letting go and making positive changes in your life is hard. The main reason for this is a fear of change. It is much more comforting to stick with what you know, no matter how much you dislike it, then to step into the unknown.

Hypnotherapy and hypnosis can make these positive changes happen by taking away that fear and allowing you to view your future in a much better light. It will help you gain the confidence, resilience, and emotional strength to handle whatever life throws at you.
